This is very important game for Inter because KTP isn't good team so this game Inter must win and I think they can make it.If Inter plays like they usually play home they will make it easily.Abramovic in Inter team has played well and whole team has made good job.I think Inter win this and you should take handicap.

Academica - Rio Ave

Académica cames from a defeat in the first game of the league, and also from one of their worst exhibitions in the last months. They played bad, and even their manager criticized the way their players went into the game. But that bad exhibition had some reasons to happen: Garces and Edson, two of the best Académica players were out, Tiero and Lito didnt played at 100% because they only came from the national team game one day before the match, and also the important captain Nuno Piloto wasnt fully fit. So lots of limitations for Académica team. For this games all that players will be fully fit, and the team will surely be way better. Also, the players will make all they can to answer to the manager and proof their quality. But it wont be hard feelings, because the manager talked a lot with the players during the week, and they are together in this mission. Rio Ave tied with Benfica, what is an excellent result for them, but my opinion remains the same: Rio Ave is a weak team and they have too many old players to get something in a long league as this. This players from newcomers consider the game against Benfica always as their life match, as Benfica is the biggest club in Portugal, meaning more supporters. But will they be with so much motivation against Académica, knowing they wont be in the newspappers? Yes, Rio Ave players were in newspapers all week, giving interviews and so, and they must be over confidents, what can be good for Académica. Rio Ave cant get 10 players defending, and playing away, they will suffer for sure.

Sogndal - Odd Grenland    -10

Soccer - Norway

Stake:  10/10   Odds:  2.15

Lately, Odd haven't been getting as good results as in the first part of the season - a clear lead, and their involvement in the Cup are probably the main reasons - so both Start and Sandefjord have caught up with them and are ready to take over the role as table toppers. But I think the division's best team won't allow that to happen, so the challenge from these two should be what gets them fully going again.

And if they go to Sogndal determined to win, I think that's exactly what they'll do for Sogndal are quite the average side, in average form, and with an average home record.

Odd might also find added motivation in their freakish 4:4 failure at home to Sogndal so I believe Odd will really want to win this one and that should be enough.

Eskisehir - Hacettepe    -10

the fans never decreased. Eskisehir is one of the few cities in Turkey that has that kind of big fan support.

They want to be permanent in super league therefore they made good transfers and strengthen their squad. I am sure all the city (who are crazy for football) is excited to see their team after 12 years in Super league.

Hacettepespor (Oftasspor of last year) is young team and their main advantage is they run and fight too much. But I don’t believe that they will manage to stop Eskisehir in front of their fierce fans. My bet is on Eskisehir to win the game.

Roeselare - Standard

We cannot ignore Standard's great form. Ok, they did play 120 minutes in midweek, but it's early on in the season and they shouldn't be too tired from that. They do have several good replacements for each line and if there are minor injuries, they should be able te field a replacement without loosing much quality. Also mentally they will be ok, their display at Anfield was very very good, although they forgot to score.

Roeselare bought a lot of new players and it isn't clicking yet, they're still searching and seeing which players fit in the best, not a situation you want to be in when the reigning champions pay you a visit. In offense Mbokani is in great form, in midfield they are superb and the defense is rock-solid with very good technical wing back who always keep searching for a passing option, they won't just kick the ball away. Standard should dominate this encounter and they can both technically or physically make the difference. They are hot and must be fancied to get the 3 points here. GL

Cracovia - Wisla Krakow

Polish oldest derby and very tense game on the stands and in the city. But football wise, big quality gap between this team. WisƂa is Polish champion and started new season with 3 wins in 3 games, playing not at 100%. Now they beaten Barcelona 1:0 on Wednesday in CL quals, of course it was more like a friendly, meanngless game after Barca won 4:0 in the first game, but surely it's a great morale and confidence boost for WisƂa players. As for Cracovia, bad start to the season, two away losses against newcomers and home win over weakest team in the league. They are successfully destroyed by their coach with selling of all players who don't like him and replacing them with wooden guys. Cracovia nowadays plays simply bad football, no creativity at all, no good strikers, very wooden play and they have clown as goalkeeper, who is always capable of making stupid mistake. Comparig this two teams it doesn't look good for Cracovia. WisƂa at least tries to play something like European football while Cracovia takes inspiration from German regional league. Even though this is derby, I'm going to back WsƂa at odds higher then 1,6. Always in such games there is a risk of a draw, but I hope not this time, when quality difference is quite high.

Lille - Bordeaux

Lille had a disappointing start of the season, but they played a good game against Rennes, only to be denied victory by conceding two injury time goals. It will be hard to recover from such a defeat, especially as they face Bordeaux. The visitors have shown they will be title contenders this year with some excellent performances, and showed character, by not letting the defeat from Paris influences their game against Nantes. They easily won the game, and enter this match full of confidence. Bordeaux has to be the favourite to win this game. But Lille likes under games at home.

Betis - Huelva

Recreativo will start the championship 90km from Huelva in Seville in the neighborhood. Last year they fought a draw at Manuel Ruiz de Lopera, so they wouldn't mind if they repeated the result now. Last year's bets scorer Sinama-Pongolle left, also very good Carlos Martins left Huelva but the team is still very competitive. The nucleus of the midfield is still the same. We are talking about Jesus Vasquez and Javi Guerrero and the Argentinean who came from Boca Juniors is a significant back-up for the attack. Defense suffered least changes so we expect this part of the team to be the best. It is very important that Manuel Zambrano stayed on the bench which means continuity of the play that brought them great results last season in the spring part. His presence means that the team will be trained even better in this season.
Home side wish to win and the visitors would settle for a draw even. Anyway we will probably see an open and attractive play. Betis are the favourites but Recreativo play traditionally well away so it is not easy to predict the outcome of this game. We expect a minimum home win or a draw.

Deportivo - Real Madrid
Sunday, August 31st, 2008 22:00
Soccer - Spa. Primera

Pick:  Real Madrid   Result: Pending
Stake:  10/10   Odds:  2.15

The pick of he first round will be the game in La Coruna, and with a good reason. Deportivo has been regular in European competitions over the last fifteen years; they won two Copa Del Rey, and have been very competitive in many Champions League campaigns, and after two poor seasons, they played some good football in the second part of last season and announced the arrival of better days for the club. Real needs no special introduction just to say that they won the league and the Super Cup, but haven’t won in La Coruna for sixteen years.
The players will be hoping to continue their great run against the ‘Kings”. Just by appearing at Riazor, let alone their good performance in the Super Cup against Valencia, Real will make bring a lot of fans to this game. Deportivo kept the team from last season, and also brought some new players, mainly Mista and Ze Castro. Coach Lotina who was the key figure for ensuring survival for Deportivo, and behind the good performances at the end of the season, is still leading the team. That is the guarantee that the team will now, even stronger, continue to nurture the style of play that nearly brought them UEFA Cup place. Their opponent is the favourite, as they have more experienced players, but the home team and the fans are aware of their team’s quality, and they are confident Deportivo will triumph.
If there is one field that Real is not fond of, it has to be ‘Riazor’. As we have already mentioned, Real hasn’t got a single win since 1991/1992, as they have lost most of the games since, and some by a big margin. Real simply does not like to play Deportivo, and the fact that they lost few games at ‘Bernabeu’ proves that. The win in the Super Cup against excellent Valencia, or in other words display of class, when Real managed to score three goals with ten players, is the testament of their strength. The only setback in the club is the situation regarding Robinho’s probable transfer to Chelsea. And Real has never had so much troubles finding the replacement. David Villa extended his contract, while Diego Capel will not join either. Still the club from Madrid has so many star players that it would be ridiculous to think that inability to sign some player could be a problem for the team. The win in La Coruna will be important to start the season the way they ended the last one. Everybody is ready, Schuster will have almost full squad to choose from, and a fierce battle with Lotina’s soldiers is expected.
This will be a very interesting match and also the derby of this round. If we look at the tradition Depor is the clear favourite, but this doesn’t have to mean anything. Real will have to break the tradition some time, they are in good form, and that could be this Sunday. Away win.

After the difficult match against Schalke and winning the Champions League place, the team and the fans are over the moon. This success was expected for a long time, and it has finally come true. The result will give the players a big boost and they will be ‘flying‘all over the pitch. Home win.
